We do not use enough radish in our kitchen. It is especially important in winter, when the body needs strong defense against viruses and infections. Since it is difficult to digest, it should be finely chopped. It is important to prepare it immediately before eating, with specific smell and taste. It has a low energy value, contains protein, carbohydrates, fats and cellulose. There are also potassium, calcium, phosphorus, sodium, iron, and smaller amounts of a magnesium, sulfur, copper, cobalt, zinc and fluorine and other beneficial ingredients.
Radish should be consumed as soon as the first signs of infection appear. It is most commonly used for disorders of the liver and gallbladder. The juice of black radish stimulates bile production.
