We present to you a few recipes for natural beauty treatments which you can prepare in your own home.

Lemon peeling

Lemon is rich in vitamin C, which evens the skin tone, and fruit acid that removes dead skin cells, so it is an ideal ingredient of skin care products. Squeeze a medium sized lemon, add a cup of white sugar, half a cup of olive oil and 2-3 tablespoons of honey. Rub this mixture on the skin and wash it off with lukewarm water. Olive oil and honey will nourish the skin, so it won’t be necessary to apply a moisturizing lotion after the peeling.

Cucumber face mask

Mix half a medium-sized peeled cucumber and add a tablespoon of almond butter. Apply the mixture to your face and neck and leave it on for 5-10 minutes. Use slices of fresh cucumber to cover your eyes in order to reduce eyelid swelling. Ten minutes after the treatment rinse the mask with lukewarm water. Cucumber are rich in vitamin C and caffeic acid which prevent water retention in the body. This mask helps with dark circles and dermatitis and large amounts of vitamin E slow down the skin aging and cracking, while silicium acts as a natural botox.

Kiwifruit and avocado make our hair shine

Mix one egg with two tablespoons of yogurt, two tablespoons of mashed avocado, a tablespoon and a half of mashed kiwifruit, two and a half teaspoons of honey and 5-7 drops of rosemary essential oil. Apply the mixed ingredients to your hair and rinse it with cold water approximately 20 minutes later. Kiwi and avocado nourish and protect hair from drying out, moisturize the scalp deeply and improve blood circulation while yogurt stimulates its growth.

Cornstarch face mask

All you have to do to make this simple mask is to mix two tablespoons of cornstarch with one whisked egg white. Rub the mixture into the skin with circular motions, than leave it on for 10 minutes and wash it off with cold water. The scrub will cleanse the impurities and will eliminate dead skin cells, while the cold water tightens pores.

Sugar for the entire body

Put a cup of olive oil and half a cup of brown sugar in a bowl. You can add a few drops of your favorite essential oil if desired. Massage the mixture into the skin with the circular motions after having a shower, but keep in mind not to do the massage more than 1 minute per effected area, as it may cause irritation. After you’re done wash it off with warm water. Olive oil nourishes the skin, but brown sugar massage boost circulation and stimulates rapid skin regeneration.

Relaxing bath

Combine tree and a half cups of salt, half a cup of baking soda and a few drops of essential oil of your choice. If you’re considering lemon oil, it’s good to know that it makes the skin fresh, while jasmine and lavender oils calm irritated skin. Add these ingredients in your bathtub filled with warm water, relax and enjoy, at least half an hour. Generally speaking we should avoid in a hot water because it can dry out the skin.

Salt helps muscle relaxation and circulation, while baking soda regulates the natural pH levels of the skin.
